At Westside Daycare, we’re excited to welcome new families into our community. We understand that choosing the right childcare is a big decision, and we’re here to guide you through every step of the admissions process. Our goal is to make joining Westside Daycare a seamless and straightforward experience for both you and your child.
Admissions Process
Our admissions process is designed to help us get to know your family and ensure that we’re a great fit for your child’s needs. Here’s what you can expect.
Inquiry and Tour: Start by reaching out to us to schedule a visit! We’ll give you a tour of our facility, introduce you to our staff, and answer any questions you may have about our program, curriculum, and philosophy.
Application Submission: After your tour, you’ll receive an admissions packet that includes our application form, program details, and policies. We ask that you complete and submit these documents, along with any necessary supporting information, such as immunization records and emergency contact details.
Confirmation and Start Date: After your application has been accepted, there is a $100 registration fee due, after this has been recieved we’ll confirm your child’s start date. You’ll receive a welcome packet with all the essential information to help you prepare for your child’s first day at Westside Daycare.

How to Know if You Qualify for the Affordability Grant and Subsidy
At Westside Daycare, we’re committed to making high-quality childcare accessible and affordable. Many families qualify for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy and Affordability Grant, which help reduce the out-of-pocket costs for childcare.
Who Qualifies?
The Alberta government offers the Affordability Grant to all families enrolled in licensed daycare programs, so every family at Westside Daycare automatically benefits from this grant—no application needed!
For additional savings, families may also qualify for the
Child Care Subsidy , which is based on household income. To qualify, you’ll need to meet specific income criteria set by the Alberta government.
How to Apply for the Subsidy
